Carry Quirky Crowdsourced Community Designed Products

Quirky has a variety of cool, out of the box, products that we feel would sell great in the Best Buy stores. In a similar fashion to your community of helpful associates that customers can turn to for tech help, we also have a community. However, our unique community is built of thousands of users(and growing) that come together to deliver new and innovative products. Quirky products are currently being sold in a number of online distribution channels but no Brick and Mortar store as of yet. We would love for Best Buy to be the first. Some of our product include the high selling PowerCurl cord management system for Macbook power cables, the Beamer-the first and only IPhone case that brings FLASH to the Iphone, and our newest creation the Quirky Cloak-The sleakest IPad Case out.

Please visit us at www.quirky.com to view our offerings, and reach us at the contacts below for information about distributing our Quirky products in your stores.
Reward Zone Points Redemption

Attach 'gift certificates' attained with a Reward Zone card directly to the card that each individual has, so when it's scanned at the register it will automatically apply discounts. This will eliminate waste/cost involved in mailing them or the hassle of having to print them out. Will create more positive brand resonance with those that already hold Best Buy near and dear. Make things easier for your best customers - and they'll love you back.

Price Scanners

It would be good to have price scanners in store, so that costumers can check the price of a product, if there are no signs saying it is on sale when it is or the new price sticker not on the product yet. This be great for DVDs, CDs, computer games, computer software, home theater equipments(HDMI cables, S Video cables, universal remotes, etc), Video games, digital camera accessories and cell phone acessories.
Target was the first stores to have the price scanners, from what I remember. The area where the toys, books, CDs, DVDs, and electronic stuff there are two price scanner. There are none in the clothing and baby stuff area, where the kitchen ware and house stuff are there is one price scanner. The area where the pharmacy is and also the shampoos, toothpaste, hand lotion, women's make up and detergent are, there is either one or two price scaners. Macy's is the other store that I know of that has price scanners. But they don't have alot theough out the store. Macy's has two on the floor where the kitchen wears, furnitures, dinner wear and luggage are there two, and the floor where the women's clothes are there eithe one or two. Store that still don't have price scanners are Kohl's, Sears, JCPenny, Lowes, Home Depot, Bed Bath and Beyond and Kmart.
So think about it, is worth having price scanners in store. IF you do want them in stores through out the U.S., maybe put like three or four at max. IF not that way then look to see how large are each stores through out the U.S., and decide how many should place through out each of the stores.

It would be great if we had a sticker on each computer and notebook that let customer know that the manufacturer has taken the cheap way out and not given a Restore Disk in the box. That it should be the first thing the user does, or has Geek Squad do.

This sticker should be just like the 15% restocking fee sticker in that it should be very noticeable, and should have to be ripped to open the box and take the product out.

This will educate the customer that this is something that has to be done, especially if it is going to be sent out for service. It will also drive services.

Now only the card holder can pick up the online purchase. We should be able to give access to someone else to pick the item up. For example, I buy a new router for my daughter who lives 200 miles away. She drives to the local Best Buy store and picks it up at no cost to her. She gets the router the same day.

Corporate/ Best Buy Radio

I think it would be great if corporate hired 3 or 4 DJ's and created a radio station (internet based or otherwise) to stream to our locations. This would keep music fresh, and prevent the boring loop that we have to put up with repeating every hour for 5 months. Make it available for employees to request songs, interact with stores, ect, and advertise the newest CD's/titles on new-release Tuesday!
