New In-Store Employee Computers

Posted about 1 year ago by neemz21
Idea Status: new

I am an employee at Best Buy and I cannot tell you how many times I have had a customer with me and I bring them up to the Toolkit computer to search something on the net or check a price and the computer freezes or is just plain slow. How about an upgrade? We are an advanced electronic store. How embarrassing is it to have a computer that takes 3 minutes to load up a page on Google.

There is also that bug, that delays for 30 seconds after each page is loaded. It doesn't happen all the time, but it is annoying when it does.

I say get rid of IBM, and lets just buy them ourselves. Then we can have Geek Squad work on it.

I have lost track of how many customers have questioned a broken computer at Best Buy, "Can't Geek Squad Fix it?", "You are a huge computer store, why is YOUR computer broken?", things like that are said to me personally ALL the time.

Most of the computers in our store have 512mb of ram, but some stores have the new computers with 2gb of ram... I think it is time for a change.

it's like we work for "the best of the best in ELECTRONICS" and we have to run on 256MB-512MB
(very embarrassing)

At best have a system with touch screen LCD.

But remember those things cost and each store has a budget.
