The Best Buy Android Application is an ongoing project with an active development schedule. There are a number of known issues that we are actively working (i.e. need more offers, search needs improvement).

Adding a barcode/QR Code Scanner to this app

It has been suggested by more than one of this app's early users that we should add a scanner. We agree. We have some ideas around actions the scanner could enable for app users, but your suggestions would be valuable. How would you want to use a scanner inside a Best Buy mobile app?

why iphone app released first.

I think that the best buy mobile app for andriod should be like the one for Iphone, you look at the Facebook app, the myspace app, the twitter app, they are all just like each other no mater whether the app is on the iphone or droid.

BBY App Augmented Reality

Add to the BBY Android app Augmented Reality overlaying actual product locations well the user is shopping. This would allow customers to find products on their own when the Blue Shirts are busy.

Self Checkout

It has been suggested that our mobile apps should enable users to be able to complete their own purchases while in stores without visiting the register.

Mobile Checkout App

The Best Buy Mobile Apps should allow customers to purchase products well they are in the store and take then home. Stores can be ID'd by GPS locations and on phones like the Android they can use the barcode scanner to add items to the customers shopping cart. Search Product by Photo

Snap a picture of a product that initiates a search. The search should return the product identified (manufacturer and model number) along with other product information. (I think I saw scr3wlo0se post this idea first in a comment under a different idea.)
